Sydney's Butterfly Children

Sydney decided to be a good mom and let her butterflies free for Mother's Day. She could hardly get them to go off her fingers. She had fun watching them fly to the flower garden. Gabby and I even saw one that looked like it over at the other house in the flower garden a few hours after we let them go. We are claiming that it is one of Sydney's. However, two of them would not leave their net so we still have two in the net. I guess some parents really do always have some kids that just don't want to leave home.

An Afternoon at Shaw's Nature Preserve

We went to Shaw's Nature Preserve on Friday when the kids had a half day. We wanted to check out their outdoor classroom and take a hike. The kids had so much fun building with the wood blocks, climbing on the trees, and playing with the musical instruments. Then we went on a walk by the lake and through the forest. Gavin decided that the forest was a little to dark for him and wanted to get out of there because you know "Darth Vader lives on the Dark Side of the Forest." I love when he says that. We decided we would go back this summer and take a hike down to the river.
