NEVER TO OLD FOR BLOCKS AND LITTLE PEOPLE

Gabby went down to play with Gavin and ended up having more fun that him. She made a castle with people all over it. When I came downstairs she was so excited to tell me the story of all the people and how they were connected to the castle. It was quite a long story as you can see the castle was very tall. It is fun to see her still a kid at heart.

STARWARS COOKIES IN THE MAKING

Gavin got a Starwars apron from the Brinkhorst and Starwars cookie cutters from Grandma Lake. He could not wait to eat Darth Vader.

Fun Vacation Times

Our new house in the Bahamas!!!

Only Keith would find a woman dressed as a Bohemian Santa to give him a pinch .

We went swimming with the Dolphins in Freeport, Bahamas. We got to see 2, one was named Cocoon and the one we got to pet was named Kayla. She was rubbery as Sydney put it. Now Sydney and Gavin both want to be Dolphin trainers when they grow up. Gavin was not to happy with Kayla though, he did not want to get into the ice water to pet her and then she came over and spit water at him. Of course he cried and backed up so far that he just about fell off the dock into the water. Maybe next time he will try and get a kiss.

Sydney and her dad loved the water at the Atlantis Hotel in Nassau. It was a "heated" pool, still to cold for mom to get in. We all went down the waterslides and even went on the slide that took you through a tunnel in shark water.

Gavin insisted on not getting in until he had a life jacket on.
We trained him well.
He thought he might sink. He smile says how much fun he was having.

At the Atlantis Hotel we went to the Beach to do some snorkeling and playing in the sand. It was very quiet and only a few people on the beach. The sand was so soft your feet would sink as the water washed up over them.

"Hurry up with the picture, I am about to get washed away," Sydney.

The Atlantis Hotel has a huge Aquarium and we saw lots of fish. I think this one could swallow Gavin whole. Gavin loved the stingrays the best. Gabby loved the seahorses. Sydney just loved it all.

Gavin took a little time out to do some Gambling at the casino.

All Sydney wanted to do was get her hair braided. We got off the ship in Nassau and went right away. It took an hour to do their hair all over. I dont know if Gabby would do it again. She said it really hurt when they were pulling so tight. But it really looks great and will hopefully last a long time.

No Keith we cannot take these birds home to be in the Magic Show!!!

Gabby Parties till 3:30 AM

Gabby's Big Night On the Ship
Gabby was invited by Camp Carnival to a party from 10PM to 3:30 Am. She was so excited when she came into the room and the invitation was waiting for her. She immediatly said "YES, I was hoping this would happen." We had already had a busy day I could not imagine her staying up but she got herself a soda and headed up to be with her new friends. She said they played dodgeball, capture the flag, had an ice cream eating contest, ate pizza, and played the Wii. How much more fun could a 10 year old have without her parents. Then at 3:30 AM the counselors dropped her off at our door and she came in and collapsed.
Needless to say she did not wake up till noon.

Bahamas Here We Come

Carnival Cruise 2010
We were off to the Bahamas in December for a great Family Vacation.
We sailed on the Carnival Fascination.

Sydney and her dad learned to make towel animals.

We were upgraded to a VIP suite that looked out onto the ocean with its own
balcony and plenty of room for all our stuff. Gavin enjoyed the bed hopping each night.

Dinner was always a must as we could eat 2 or 3 appetizers and 2 or 3 main meals. We were so stuffed by the time we left the cruise. I cannot imagine eating on a 7 day cruise. The food was fabulous.

Kids away and Adults will Play

Partying at the Lake Adult Style
We had an Adult day on the boat. It was actually meant to be only for a few hours but we were having so much fun the time just got away from us. We started out at Larry's on the Lake (Captain's Galley) and then proceeded to Fish and Company's and Captain Ron's. We went with Mindy, Jennifer, Laura and Pat, and Chris and Sherri. I must say it was one of our best days at the lake. Fun and Relaxing.

SHOT_SKI
We ordered a Shot-Ski at Fish and Company's. As you can see the name says it all. And we even brought back a ski so we can make our own.

Jennifer and Laura took over the dance floor after the Shot-Ski.

Bear Bottom Resort

Labor Day at Bear Bottom Resort

We started our weekend going to the waterslide at Bear Bottom Resort. I am not sure if any of the kids actually went down the slide because the water was so cold. The kids did have fun having kiddy cocktails and nachos.

Sydney and Sydney bellied up to the bar. We are in trouble when they get a little older and are at the lake together.

Labor Day Weekend at Sunset Inn Resort 2010
The annual Labor Day Parade for Indian Point was themed FairyTales and Nursery Rhymes. We decided to go for the Peter Pan theme. We had Tinkerbell and her Fairy friends, Peter Pan, Pirates, Tiger Lilly, a Lost Girl Skunk, and Wendy. We did not win this year, but we sure had fun dressing up.
Neither Keith nor Audrey won the Egg Toss, but they sure tried hard. We were really hoping for a little egg on Keith's nice hair.
