Battle of the Lawnmowers

Gavin saw that his dad was getting ready to cut the grass so he decided that he needed to use his lawnmower too and get the grass cut. He followed him around the whole yard cutting behind his dad. Finally Keith let Gavin try the "Big Guy" out and pretend to cut. He loved that he had to put on the gloves and used them with his own little mower the rest of the time.

Gavin's New Bed

Say "Hello" to the new speed racer. Gavin has moved his way up to a race car bed. He was so excited to say goodbye to his crib and climb into his new bed. His sisters were a little jealous, but exicted for him. Only time will tell if he is going to climb out. It may be "Goodbye" to the 8:00 or 8:30 am wake-ups now that he can crawl out of bed.

Six Flags Opening Day

We thought we were crazy going to Six Flags because we woke up to snow on the ground and 35 degree weather, but the day could not have been more perfect. There was nobody there so the kids got to ride the rides over and over. They were all feeling a little dizzy and sick by the end of the day.

Gabby and Bella rode the Evel Knievel coaster 12 times.

I dont know who had more fun, Gavin or Sydney. Gavin loved all the rides, he was not scared of anything. All he kept talking about the day after was the boat ride that he got wet on (Log Flume) and how he got to shoot the bad guys on the Scooby Doo ride and got 4 points. Sydney even braved the coaster rides. She couldn't wait to go on the Tony Hawk Twister but she turned a shade of green when she was on it.

Another Day At The Magic House

Gabby and Sydney were pretending to cook dinner over the open fire in the Indian campground.
Gavin is practicing so he can help his Grandpa Lake drive his backhoe.

The Princess' have arrived.

Sydney was in "HEAVEN" when she found out there were 1 million pieces of candy in the case.

Who is going to catch the first fish in the pond? I think it is going to be Gavin. He kept yelling "I got it, I got it."

St. Patrick's Day

Gavin got to ride on an old fire truck in the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Dogtown. He rode with his cousins Carson and McKenna. I don't think he really knew what to do with all the people that he saw. He just kept waving and asking "Where's Dude?"

Gavin's Visit to the Hospital

Gavin and Elmo both got their name braclets when they checked into the hospital for his surgery on his cheek. Gavin was very brave. He loved his fishy PJ's and his gas mask he got to play with.
Gavin got some little socks to wear on his feet, but he decided to use them as baseballs instead and he played catch with Julie.

He was suppose to be using his gas mask on Elmo and seeing how it puts Elmo to sleep, instead he decided to use it as a Happy Birthday hat.

Going into the surgery room was a little scary so Keith got to put on the bunny suit and walk with Gavin to stay with him until he fell asleep. Keith said he was glad he went because Gavin had a little tear running down his cheek. He got the happy gas and started giggling and after about 10 seconds of giggling, Gavin went sound a sleep and 30 minutes later they came to tell us he was done and in the recovery room. Everything went great. He was sound alseep in the recovery room and it took him a long time to wake up. He was not so sure about his IV or what it was for and boy did he watch the nurse with a serious face when she took it out. He was glad to go home and see his sisters afterwards.

Gavin's day at the Magic House

Gavin spent a day at the Magic House building a castle, playing in the water table, playing in the sand table, playing in the mirrors, playing with the balls and ringing bells, and driving a car. He had so much fun. It was just Gavin and mom and he did not have to share mom with his sisters. He was so serious when he was pouring the water and the sand. He tried to make friends with a little boy when he was building a castle, but the little boy did not want to share so he made his own. It turned out pretty good and he was very proud of it. We only made it to a little section of the Magic House, little did he know how much more he could do, but he was having so much fun that he didn't want to go anywhere else.

Pizza with the Daisies

Sydney had a Daisy meeting at Uno's Pizzaria. The kids got to make their own pizzas and tour the kitchen to see where their pizzas were being made. I think Gabby made the best because she borrowed some of her brother's cheese and pepperoni.

Bath Time

Zoo

The kids loved this guy picking his nose!!!

They were so excited to climb to get their picture above the waterfall until
the Zoo worker came over and caught them.

A week after the Ice Festival we were wearing shorts at the Zoo.Gavin was scared of the Alligator, but when we made it to the bears, zebras, and tigers he was excited to be there. The girls were excited to show him around the Zoo.

Westport Plaza Ice Festival

We went to Westport for the Ice Festival. It was freezing, but we managed to get in the ice slide, games, seeing ice sculptures, face painting, and Fredbird.

Gabby Soccer 2009

Gabby had an outdoor game today and did the unbelievable. At 8 years old, she kicked a

corner kick that went soaring through the air and then curved into the goal and scored. A true college kick. Her team is now playing up a year with 10 year olds and they are 2-0 for the spring so far. Big tournament coming up in the beginning of April in Memphis, TN

Star of the Week

Sydney is Star of the week this week and she is so excited. She got to bring special family today and got her Star crown. She worked on her poster and picked out the pictures herself of all the pictures that tell all about herself. All week she will be telling her class about herself and her family. Who knows what kind of stories she will come up with!

Star of the Week

Sydney got to eat her favorite meal for her special day. Although I didn't bring her favorite candy I think she still enjoyed herself.

Sydney loves to play outside on the playground at recess.
